   JJ,

   I could tell from your perpetual wry grin that you did not take this tornado watch too seriously. Looks like dynamics just didnt measure up to the more than ample conditional instability. Another November with obscenely warm humid air.

   A cold winter? …probably not in the mean but you can never be sure in New England.

   This totally took me by surprise. I was in bed with the flu last weekend. In and out of sleep with a fever. I woke up to the sound of the wind. It actually sounded like a train going by. It was hot and I had to turn on the air conditioner (I have to get that out of my window, the cold air is getting in now).

   Then I went to weather.com and saw the tornado logo and the watch. I was shocked. It’s November! I went out on my back porch and the wind was crazy. It looked like a couple of trees were going to come down. I grabbed my pet carrier and my 2 cats and kept them in the bedroom with me until it was over, just in case we had to make a quick trip to the basement.

   Then it was cancelled. I love severe weather and I’m fascinated with tornadoes but that night all I wanted was some sleep!
